This is the first course in a two-semester series. The course is designed to prepare students for Foundation Level Physics course and to teach the basic concepts of Physics and an understanding of experimental procedures to develop laboratory skills.

Topics include units of measurements, vector, quantities, force, kinematics, dynamics, density and fluid pressure.

Textbook(s):
Modern Physics.

Assessment is by coursework (50%) and final examination (50%).
Prerequisite(s): General Science and Mathematics to Form 5 would be an advantage.
